Instructions for use

  1. 1

    Preparation

The joints must be cleared of all weeds, roots and loose material to a depth of at least 25 mm (in the case of traffic loads, 2/3 of the stone height). The surface to be jointed must be cleared of all dirt . Adjoining areas that are not to be grouted should be masked off or covered. To prevent settlement and loose stones, we recommend a permanently water-permeable and load-bearing sub-base appropriate to the anticipated load (please observe the current standards).

  2. 2

    Pre-soaking

Thoroughly pre-wet the entire surface. Higher ground temperatures and absorbent, open-pored rock require more intensive pre-wetting. As a general rule, clean, cold water should be used.

  3. 3

    Filling the joints

Remove the vacuum bag from the bucket, cut it open and spread the mixture evenly over the thoroughly pre-wetted surface. Work the paving joint mortar vigorously into the joints using a broom or rubber trowel. The joints must be completely filled and compacted. By lightly spraying the fresh mortar with a fine mist of water, you will increase the strength of the joint, and narrower joint widths can be filled more easily. Avoid standing water on the surface during application. Joints that have sagged must be filled immediately with fresh jointing compound.
